This exhibition explores the idea that Western Science/Physics and Eastern Philosophies share similar metaphysical notions - that order and chaos are both in competition yet co-exist with one another. The basic elements of the universe are dynamic patterns, in which transitory stages are in constant flow of transformation and change. This universal flux manifests into the richness, diversity and beauty of life all around us. The material used is Industrial foil (over stretched canvas) of which enables the creation of stripes through a repetitious process using opaque and transparent acrylic paint, the transparent paint over the foil allows light and shine to contrast the opaque solid strip. To create subtle and emerging variations as the paint is meditatively applied creating order and disorder and at the same time a sense of wholeness in motion in which everything moves together in an interconnected process.
